This year for the twelfth time, people interested in Irish dance, music, singing, and the Irish language will come to the Irish summer school to attend lessons, seminars, ceilí and social evenings, music sessions and other events in order to build up their knowledge and skills to meet their links to Irish traditional culture. As every year, there will be a lot to choose from.

Sometimes I manage to come across some of the photos that relate to the last summer school - Bernard's Summer School 2011 - and which are somehow interesting (or they seem so to me). I took the liberty to "steal" from my daughter Tereza and her Facebook page and I include three photos that captured my interest. These are taken by a mobile phone, thus they do not qualify for some great technical quality. But they are clear. 

I called the first photo "Big and Little Ronan". Ronan McCormack received a special gift at the end of his lessons - a Ken doll from the favourite couple, Barbie and Ken - who is a spitting image of Ronan. Well, judge for yourself:
