Enda Seery
Enda Seery from Streamstown, Co. Westmeath in the heart of Ireland is one of Ireland’s finest whistle, flute players and composers. He is also a respected teacher, adjudicator and administrator with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. His debut album “The Winding Clock: Traditional Irish Music on the Whistle” was released to critical acclaim in 2010. The album also featured John Byrne (guitar), Colin Hogg (bodhrán) and Enda’s musical siblings Ciarán (button accordion), Siobhán (flute) and Pádraig (fiddle).
In 2012, Enda graduated with First Class Honours from the Masters course in Traditional Irish Music Performance from the University of Limerick. In April of this year, he released his second studio album, “Síocháin na Tuaithe: Peace of the Countryside” which features many more of Enda’s traditional compositions. The album again features John Byrne on guitar along with James Hughes (fiddle), Eoghan MacAogáin (whistle) and Tom Delany (guitar). For this new release, Enda has also expanded to flute and vocals. He is now a full-time traditional Irish musician, composer, singer and teacher.

John Byrne
John Byrne hails from Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and is a very talented guitar and banjo player. He has numerous provincial Fleadh titles on the banjo as a member of Mullingar Comhaltas. John is a full-time musician and teacher and his musical talents extend to other genres of music outside of traditional Irish music such as rock, reggae and heavy metal.
In the last few years, John has become the main musical partner and accompanist for whistle and flute player Enda Seery and this has seen John play guitar on both of Enda’s album releases “The Winding Clock” and “Síocháin na Tuaithe: Peace of the Countryside”. Also this year Enda and John featured on the well-know Geantraí programme on TG4 which was broadcast from P Egan’s, Moate, Co. Westmeath.
