Start of the Summer School

Participants from Prague or those who will be accommodated elsewhere do not have to come to Zárubova school on Saturday (but may of course come to the ceilí) and can come directly for the start of lessons on Sunday, 19 August.

On Sunday 19 August, registration of participants at the reception will take place from 8:00 am, mainly for participants of dance and music lessons beginning at 08:30 am (step dancing, harp, fiddle). At 8:30 am the official opening takes place at first and then all will split up into classes according to schedule. Step dancing lessons of the beginners and primary levels will take place in the large gym, all together under the leadership of all three teachers on Sunday. The division into groups will take place and the group led by Tereza Bernardová will be dancing in a different building at the given time from Monday onwards.
All others who begin classes during the day will come to register a little earlier and then they can go directly to their lessons.

It is important to pay attention to the schedule and I especially want to point out that Sunday’s schedule particularly for step dancing lessons is different from the following days.
At the same time I apologize notably to those participants who, because of the schedule composition, must cancel their participation in some of their lessons (I think it won’t be more than 2 cases). It was not easy to coordinate the requirements of the participants with the time and space we have available in the school. However, if someone sees an opportunity in the schedule to take on another lesson, let us know when you register at the reception.
