When we started preparing this jubilee 10th edition of the summer school, we gave a lot of thought to ways how to make it special, how to celebrate this little anniversary. We wanted to come up with something to reward our regular attendants and motivate those who would be there for the first time to visit again. Finally we agreed on inviting special guests to the Final Evening – people who are interesting for our activities in some way.

In one of my previous articled I already confirmed that our invitation has been accepted by the All Ireland Sean Nós Dancing champion of 2009, Miss E m m a O´S u l l i v a n with her musical accompanist, Mr. J o h n O´H a l l o r a n (melodeon), who comes from a musical family originally from Inishboffin (an island on the West coast of Ireland).

This year they placed 3rd at the RTE All Ireland Talent Competition and I think this is hardly the end of their successes.

Today, i.e. 4 May, I received an e-mail with the following:

Hi Vaclav
I received your DVD. Thanks.
I am happy to confirm that I will perform at your final evening performance.
I look forward to it. What date would you want me there by?
Regards
James

This James is no one else than the fastest tap dancer of the planet, whose achievement of 38 clicks per second is entered in the Guinness Book of Records, Mr. J a m e s D e v i n e.

James participated in creating the choreography to the Gaelforce Dance show, he danced in Ragús, he is the author of successful dance shows - Tapeire, Celtic Tap and he leads the Devine Dance Society.
We will keep you updated about these guests of the BSS 2010 Final Evening.

V.B.
