Email z 3.6.2009:
Dear Mr.Moore,
thank you very much for the official confirmation message about our summer school. At the same time I was wondering if there is any chance you could send me more information about the status "Open workshop" and the open workshop rule itself - as up to now we've only been recommended to apply for it, but nobody ever told us the full reading of it. We would like to know what we can afford with this status, who is actually allowed to attend our workshops, same as we would like to avoid any troubles in the future. I would be very grateful for that.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Vaclav Bernard

Odpověď Charlese Mora z téhož dne byla následující:
Hello Vaclav,
Did you receive the rules of An Coimisiun around 2006, if not I will arrange for you to receive same or I will email them to you. The association rule effective from 15 th June 2008 is the one you need to watch. Again if you dont have this rule I will arrange for you to receive it.
Regards
Charles.Moore
Dear Charles,
I didn´t receive the rules of An Coimisiún yet. Please, send me it by e-mail. Thank you very much.
Best regards

Will do ok. but there are some changes to these not much as I havnt updated them since AGM. As you can understand I am kept busy with my Adjudicating in USA and England and here at home . I hope these will help you .
Regards
Charles.
Dear Charles,
let me remind myself. I am organizer of Bernard’s Summer School in Prague, the Czech Republic. Our summer school was one of those, who received the Open workshop status this year.
Because we didn’t know about this rule before we applied bit too late and it actually didn’t increase the number of students from CLRG schools very much. However I believe it could help us more, if we promoted this advantage right from the beginning.
Bernard’s summer school week was successful anyhow and we had 167 participants all together from 6 European countries, attending dancing and music classes or Irish language class.
Next year it’s going to be the 10th year anniversary and it would be great if we receive the Open workshop status again. Is it possible to apply for it now and hopefully get to know the result soon? We would like to promote the event on fliers home and abroad this time (has to be done before Christmas), and announce the main information from the New year, so people actually get a chance to organise their summer holidays.
Last time I asked you to send me the copy of the latest CLRG rules. You were busy that time and promised to send them when you have more time. Unfortunately I haven’t received anything yet. I am not connected to CLRG and the rules are not on the website. If I suppose to follow them, I believe I should know them. E-mail them to me when you get a chance so please.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Kind regards,

Hello Vaclav,
Sorry if you didn't receive any rules re workshops but An Coimisiún pass a ruling that all applications must be received by me before January 7th 2010 for the year 2010. If you contact the office or look up the website the form should be there.I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Charles.
Dear John,
Hope you are well. Thank you for the help with "Open workshop" status. For quite a long while I am trying to get the rules regarding to 'open workshop'. Everyone I contacted from An Coimisiún must be very busy for last half of the year as nobody got back to me with required answer so far including Mr. Moore. I am contacting you in regards to this subject and asking you for help again. We would like to apply for the open worskhop status next year again as its going to be festive occasion - 10th year anniversary.
I would like to point out once again, I want to avoid possible future conflict and I would like to learn more about the Open workshop rules. I would be more than grateful, if you could send me the up-to-date version of the rules please.
Same as An Coimisiún, I am trying to spread out Irish traditional culture to those who are interested in it. And we always have great time and the event has very friendly athmosphere, people from different countries returning back and we have new participants joining every year. Good amount of dancers who currently dance under TCRGs in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Austria etc. started their Irish dancing right here in Prague at our summer school. It would be a shame if there was any misunderstaning for example for lack of communication. If you know what I am trying to say.
Thank you for your help in advance!
Yours faithfully,

Dear Vaclav,
sorry for the delay in replying to you but I was away in South Africa
(judging dancing there etc) and was then in Australia conducting
Teachers exams etc and so am only recovering from all that extensive
travelling.
Vaclav, what I suggest is that you contact Charles Moore as he is
in Chairman of the Rules Committee . I will in the meanwhile contact
Charles direct myself. He is a good friend of mine and I will be
meeting him next week. Please contact him within the next few days
and let me know how you get on (and then I will chat with Charles end
on next week.). His e-mail in Moorecharles@eircom.net but I
think you have it already
Charles was in fact in South Africa adjudicating with me (and
following that he went to judge in USA).
Please contact me again early next week - I am anxious to be of
help to the Irish Dancing in Prague - as my connection with Czeck
(oslovakia) goes back to 1967 when my team toured there and I have
very happy memories of informal dance perfromances in Wyenchslas (?)
Square in Prague - 42 years ago.
best regards. John (Cullinane)
Charles - if you get the copy of this e-mail Please can you help
Václav as a very good favour for me (John) - see you next week at the
Munsters. I will be down on the Wed night - and at recepting that
night collecting John Morgan at cork Airport
Dear Vaclav, i got an e-mail from Charles Moore, - telling me that
he has relied to you by now. He is in Denver (USA) but will be back
and I will meet him next week (over three days at our Munster
Championships). Please sned a copy of your application in to him (e-
mail or written as soon as you can - and if possible send me an-email
copy also so when I meet with hime on next Wed Nov. 25th. Then I can
ask him if there is a problem with your application. Then there will
be a meeting of the Rules Committee on Dec 12th and a meeting of full
Commission on Dec 13th and so it should all be finalised by that date
at the latest (if not before that).
But I am not on the Rules Committee and so I will ddiscuss it all
with Charles.
Can you tell me please when (what date) is your workshop and is it
in the City of Prague. Please.
John Cullinane
Opět jsem poslal žádost o udělení stautu open následujícího znění 25.11.:
To whom it may concern,
It has been more than year since I started searching for CLRG Open workshop rules, as I wanted to make participation at Bernards summer school for those registered with CLRG, both teachers and students, easier and less complicated. Unfortunately I have had no success with this search so far. I would like to be more obliging and available to participants and An Coimisiún rules (which I haven’t come across), and here I send you required application form and asking you to accept Bernard’s Summer School 2010 as an Open workshop. Bernard’s Summer School 2010 is going to run its 10 th anniversary already next summer. Through that time numbers of dancers who then joined CLRG schools on Continental Europe started or improved their Irish dancing at this event. Around 150 people interested in Irish dancing, music, language and Irish culture in general participate in summer school classes. Popularity of this event is down to its quality: teacher, class selection, and a very friendly and motivating social atmosphere still brings many new applicants. The interests of existing students are supported and broadened. The Irish ambassador in the Czech Republic annually expresses his support and takes patronage over this event. I believe it is in Irish interest, and therefore, your organisation, to support this event. Many teachers with TCRG or ADCRG title taught here, they can be a source of qualified information in regards to this event (eg. Ronan McCormack ADCRG). Other information is available at our website (www.bernards.cz).
Thank you for understanding.
Yours sincerely
Vaclav Bernard
Director of Bernard’s Summer School
Dear Vaclav, I thank you for your communication of Nov. 25th
concerning your application for an open workshop in 2010. I presume
that you have also sent this application to Charles Moore ? and I am
copying this reply to both you and Charles. I will be meeting Charles
at the Commission meeting this week end and will check with him and
see about getting this application accepted.
Charles will see you at the week end and look forward to finding
out what is the position with this application.
Best regards;
John (Cullinane)
Další email přišel od Johna C. 14.12.2009 a vypadal velmi nadějně:
Dear Vaclav, your application was dealt with by Charles Moore at
the Commission meeting yesterday and after the meeting he told me that
he would be in touch with you.
Best regards; and Merry Xmas-
John Cullinane.
Dear John,
I am very suprised the Bernard´s Summer School didn´t obtain open status from CLRG yet. Nobody communicate with me to this time. I am very dissatisfied with communication from side of CLRG. I prepare every year biggest Irish music and dancing event in the middle of Europe, about 200 hundred people from the whole Europe knowing Irish culture through this event, I would like respect rules of CLRG (but nobody from CLRG is able to send me it), but nobody from CLRG except you communicate with me. Exists interest to spread Irish culture, specially Irish step dancing to continental Europe from side of CLRG? I don´t understand to it.Can you explain me, where is problem? Thank you.
Kind regards
Václav Bernard

24. února po All Irelands mi John C. odepisuje:
Dear Vaclav, I was away in Killarney where the All-Ireland
Championships in Irish Dancing were held over 8 days and have just now
returned home.
Vaclav I did NOT know that you were refused permission. I DID NOT
KNOW THIS untill i read your e-mail. I am so sorry and so sorry that
no one (even Charles Moore) did not reply to you about the matter.
He should have done so and so all I can say is that I will contact him
and ask him WHY were you refused and WHY did he not reply to you.
I am so embarassed -
I will reply to you no matter what the answer is.
John ( Cullinane )
4. března přichází další email a pro mě trochu překvapivý:
Vaclav, I contacted Charles Moore and he said that he had contacted
you and told you of the decision. HE is the person (Chairperson) in
that topic so PLEASE contact him again by all means if you wish - but
there is nothing that I can do.
best regards;
John Cullinane
Dear John,
thank you for your help. But nobody contacted me. I wrote you in my last email: nobody answered me. Communication from the side of CLRG with me is ZERO. I asked for rules of CLRG and I didn ´t obtain it to this time. I wanted to know how it is important for participants of Bernard´s Summer School to be declare it as a OPEN from a view of CLRG. I don´t know it. Because communication with CLRG is very hard for me, I am ending with my effort to obtain status open for my summer school. I would like thank you for your help.
It is very sad for me, because Irish dancing is very popular in Czech Republic. We have here no TCRG, but dancers from Czech Republic fill surrounding schools (Delaney Academy from London, AMC Dance Academy Salzburg, Ronana Morgan School Budapest). And my summer school during this ten years is helping for popularity of Irish dancing and Irish culture here
Kind regards
Václav.
Odpověď od Johna přišla následující den:
Dear Vaclav in reply to your e-mail received by me on this Friday
morning 5th March. You say that nobody contacted you and you have had
"ZERO" communication from CLRG but Charles Moore has e-mailled me
and said that you didnt get
"open" status because you were using teachers not registered with CLRG
and "'that HE told you this"" ????
So I dont understand. Since it was Charles deals with the Workshops
and rules and if he , as he says told you of the result of you
application and why it was not accepted- then there is nothing I CAN
DO to help you.
Please communicate with Charles Moore and see if you could or be
willing to employ only teachers registered with CLRG could you then
reapply for Open status ??. BUT it is something you must work out
with Charles Moore (I repeat that i can do nothing because i am not on
that Committee).
Due to my historical connection with Czech republick (being the
first Irish Dance group to perform there in 1967)
I am very sad that the 10 year workshop is not granted 'open status'
and can only suggest that try workthis out.
Are you willing to comply with what appears to be the requirement of
CLRG that only teachers registered with CLRG be employed ?? and if so
discuss this with Charles.
I CAN DO NOTHING MORE - I AM SO SORRY
I serve most of my time on the Committee that deals with the exams
for TCRGS and ADCRGS and am not on the Committee that deals with
Workshops or Rules.
John Cullinane.
Dear John,
Thank you for your time and your communication. I had very limited access to the internet for last 2 weeks, please accept my sincere apology for my delayed reply.
When I was reading your last e-mail, I realized there must must be some problem in connection between Charles Moore and myself. I had only received few e-mails from him in the past, so it makes me think where is the problem? I believe you, he sent me those e-mails, but they never land into my e-mail box. I keep checking my junk mail dialy, so don't think I would miss his answer there...
I understand Charles Moore is busy man. In the past I contacted other people from CLRG (incl. contacts on CLRG website) and have never received any answer. You were the only one, who kept returning to me. You can imagine I come to conclusion there is 'No communication from CLRG side'. I seriously don't know where the problem is.
For the last year I wanted to find out only two things - CLRG rules (I believe there must be some) to be followed by those who had received "Open Workshop" status and the conditions for receiving the status. After last year when our summer school was granted with "Open workshop" status, I'm still not sure if it was any advantage or not for us, as I don't really see how different the event was from those who didn't received the "Open Workshop" status. Is this a question for Charles Moore? - what is the advantage of "Open workshops"? All these rules and CLRG things are still very new to me and as I can't find it anywhere on the internet, how can I learn more about that?
I'm afraid I won't do any changes in this year summer school schedule. If I knew I have to invite registered TCRG or ADCRG earlier, maybe, but its too late now to change anything as preparations for the summer are too far in progress. I can't afford financially another TCRG or ADCRG. We don't have any sponsors, all is paid from participants fees...
Thank you John again for all your help, I really appreciate your understanding and communication from your side. Thank you!!!
Best regards,
