Dear Vasek, First of all, may I say it was an honour to be asked to participate in the Summer School.
Fiddle lessons were held regularly every afternoon, with all participants attending. Work done 'in class' was practised by students in the evenings and there was a marked improvement in playing over the week, despite there being, of course, a limited amount of work that can be achieved in just one week. (Students were so enthusiastic they have applied to me to hold a weekend session of lessons in October here in Nova Ves!)
Organisation of the school was on a very high level. Perhaps in future the instrumental lessons can be held in rooms further away from each other (sound-proofing in the building is more or less non-existant!), and preferably in a north-facing room - the sun was overpowering sometimes and we couldn't open the door so as not to bother the whistles, pipes, etc.
As a teacher I was looked after very well, but was a bit lost (being a non-Prague person) how to feed myself cheaply and effectively without resorting to chinese every day. Perhaps an information leaflet detailing local shops and restauraunts might be useful in future. Accomodation was wonderful, just a shame it was so far from the school, which limited evening activities.
Generally I felt the whole school was on a very high level. Congratulations to all involved.
